Hungarian higher education was represented by the Campus Hungary Programme at the 25th Hong Kong Education and Careers Expo between 5 and 8 February, which is one of the most significant education fairs in Asia
The famous Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre hosted the 25th Hong Kong Education and Careers Expo focusing on European higher education this year, and attendance was free for the public. There were 770 exhibitors at the four-day event, and Hungarian higher education was represented at the fair for the first time. The Campus Hungary booth was situated in the Europe Zone, and it was visited by hundreds of youngsters, students and parents who were interested in the European higher education system, asking questions about tuition fees and available degrees. They received all the information about the courses offered by Hungarian higher education, the Bologna system and the Hungarian institutions that offer foreign language courses.
Within the framework of the Expo, during the European Education Day, Ms Ágnes Simon, project leader of the Campus Hungary Programme gave a presentation about the higher education possibilities and scholarship programmes available for Hongkongese students. From the General Consulate of Hungary in Hong Kong Mr Tamás Fehér consul was present at the Campus Hungary presentation and he greeted the guests.
